

Northern British Columbia is miles away from the big city, yet as accessible as any other prime vacation destination.
Major airports include the recently expanded Prince George Airport (YXS) which is serviced by several major carriers including Air Canada, WestJet and Central Mountain Air and starting May 2008, Horizon Air.
Prince Rupert, on the northern coast, also operates a modern airport, with flights from Air Canada and Hawk Air as well as several regional charter services. Flights are also offered to Terrace and Smithers, located east of Prince Rupert on Highway 16.
Fort St. John is a perfect entry point for a vacation in the rugged Rocky Mountains of Northern B.C. Major carriers Air Canada, Central Mountain Air and Hawk Air serve the airport there.
