Moricetown

Visit Moricetown east of the Hazeltons along Highway 16.   Moricetown is the summer gathering place of the Wet'Suwet'en, who are the friends and neighbours of the Gitksan.

The village of Moricetown is known as Kyah Wiget, it was built on the Moricetown Canyon on the Bulkley River around 4000 years ago.

Stop by and watch the Wet'Suewet'en fish the old fashioned way, with dip nets.  Watch as they fish the rapids for salmon in the fall.
