PACIFIC WILDLIFE AND CULTURAL TOURS
Explore remote wilderness of Canada's Pacific Northwest coast to Southeast Alaska aboard the world traveled heritage sailing vessel DUEN.
Discover Haida Gwaii: Queen Charlotte Islands, The Great Bear Rainforest: B.C. Central Coast and Southeast Alaska: Glacier grandeur. We focus on the Natural and Cultural history of these special wilderness regions. We explore the far reaches of the North in the safety and comfort of a sea worthy, annually coast guard inspected sailing vessel: the DUEN is a 22 meter unique heritage sailing vessel which has a rich history and character that blends in well into the natural surrounding that we explore. Our crew are knowledgeable naturalists that share a keen enthusiasm for all natural elements of our trip. We take the time for shore explorations daily to take in: intertidal walk, temperate rainforest discovery, culturally rich first nations sites, and observe at safe range the numerous wildlife in their natural habitat.
We offer 8-12 days journey in remote unspoiled wilderness at an unhurried pace to take in the natural events that come our way. Traveling in small groups of 8 guests, 3 crew: captain/owner, naturalist/crew and chef, we set the pace at the pulse and interest of the group, making sure to provide a memorable and safe wilderness experience for all aboard.
